Dear Members,

The All Pakistan Music Conference was formed on 15 September 1959 and the first festival was held from February 19-23, 1960. The years 2009 & 2010 are therefore special: APMC shall be celebrating its 50th anniversary. We invite you as member to partake of the pride and satisfaction of an institution that has catered to the aesthetes of Pakistan especially Lahore by providing sophisticated cultural activity. We have continued to promote Art Music of the Classical as well as the folk genre. Our discerning audiences have been the envy of many. We thank you for your patronage.

As you know APMC is a non-commercial organization. It has survived political and financial crises because of support of individuals like you. We request that you become a life member by donating Rs.10, 000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only). This will ensure that we can invite top musicians for the festival held annually at Bagh-i-Jinnah Open Air Theatre as well as the monthly concerts held at Alhamra the Mall Lahore.

The annual membership of Rs.500/- for a couple and Rs.300/- for single membership has not been enhanced and is now due for 2009. This is minimal fee. Kindly issue Lahore based crossed cheque in favour of APMC (Bank charges for clearing out-station cheques amount to Rs.300/-). You may pay cash during the office hours. Facility to pay at the monthly concerts at Alhamra Arts Council the Mall Lahore is also available. You shall receive invitation cards by post. If you send us your email address you will be notified by email as well.

In the year 2008 APMC has been able to record & produce 8 (eight) CD’s. A complete list is mentioned below:

Last year we were able to hold nine monthly concerts of classical music (Muharram and Ramadan not with standing) plus the five day annual Conference at Bagh-i-Jinnah. This is in consonance with the tradition of the last fifty years. We shall be able to maintain this quantity and quality only with your co-operation. Thank you.
