The all night programme of Folk Music, Geet, Ghazal, Kafi, Kajri, Dadra, Thumri, Tarana, Tirvat, Kheyal.
I am classical music lover and have been comming to APMC concerts since 1993 (when i came to lahore). It has always been great entertainment for that i salute late Hayat Ahmed Khan and now the present organizers.
I have some observations which include excluding some of bore items/non regular singers in the annual festival which result in too many performers leaving good performars e.g. Ustad Hamid Ali, Ustad Fatah Alis (both patiala and gwaliar), Ustad Naseer Sami, Shafqat, Husain Bux, etc with late performance with very little time to perform. I would like you to manage the programes in a way to increase the performance time for great classical performers and try to get the list short by excluding others so that good ones can get better and adequate time.
You may consider phasing out or delaying the artists like Badar/Qamar-Uz- Zaman, Imtiaz Ali and KIDS especially in the classical night.
