It was very delightful to note that Karachi was the host to such a beautiful programme. I was in Pakistan two years ago as part of a delegation of Pakistan-India Peoples Forum for Peace and Democracy(PIPFPD). I had the opportunity to perform in Karachi and Lahore and was surprised by the knowledge of the discerning audience. It was a dream come true for me because ever since I had started learning music, my Guru late Ustad Munawar Ali Khansahib used to tell me about the magical musical heritage of Pakistan. Your organization is doing a commendable job indeed and if I can be of any assistance it will be my privilege. Please do keep in touch and if you ever feel that this vocalist from Kolkata, with a staunch musical upbringing from Kasur-Patiala Gharana, can be of any service then do inform me.
With my very best wishes,
Kumar Mukherjee

These were 3 great days of my whole life when I attended The Annual Festival 2006 organized by APMC Karachi. I didnt have any interest in Classical Music at all and used to think that it is nothing but the headaching practice of listening BAY BAY BAY (bleat) but thanks to Ms. Aalia Raza (President’s Daughter; very common traits and exposure, socially very skilled and never poses that she is something very high that shows the the family tradition of her context. Bravo to President and 1st lady and the in laws parents of her), Sharif Awaan/his wife; and others that they really arranged a nice function which is hard to forget. The performance of 1st day, specially of Ustad Hamid Ali and Abdul Sattar Taari was really very moving. Serious thinking to write something on classical music to propagate the real sprit and beauty of our traditional music.
Welldone APMC Karachi….

It was pleasing to note that you have included my comments and it is still there for more than a year. Won’t I ever again get an opportunity to perform in the land of my musical forefathers?

assalam o alikum
i’ve gone through the website in detail but am unable to discover the name of multan in any of the events, etc. multan is rich city on account of musicians, performers and artists. moreover, by opening of modern colleges/institutions, performing/liberal arts is going to be at a promotion stage. TV channels are also playing their role in promoting and projecting this activity.
Why not you come to MULTAN to undertake music and related activities. You will be getting good response from the people of multan if u come here to organize such an event.
if u r desirous of comeing here, we can join hands with u people. i can make u sure that u will not be disappointed.
anxiously waiting for your quick and kind response
